About

Doing collage echoes what I see in the world, its shapes, its colors, and its chaotic rhythm. That’s why the entire world is source of my collages. I gather all kind of papers as well as pictures from magazines, newspapers, postcards, flyers, because something in them attracted me. My collages are built in a way that shapes and colors dialogue with each other in a dynamic way, playing with frames inside the bigger frame. Often this leads to a series but none of them are planned. They appear in a spontaneous way. I also like experiencing all kind of material. I never try to build something simple or simplistic. Even though I may give a title to a piece afterwards, there is no other meaning than the one each person will get by looking at my work. I also like to introduce black paper silhouette in my collage. It lead me to illustration work, inspired by a word, a sentence, a story. My work has evolved since the beginning. I work more and more with painted background, which I obtain either by painting directly on the supports I use or by using Gelli prints transfers. I play with the accidents this transfer technique often creates.
